Condition of Entry

  1. Refer to the General Conditions of Entry and Competition printed in the front of this Schedule.

  2. Exhibits are to be delivered to the Burdekin Multi-Purpose Hall at the Showgrounds between 9.00am and 10.00am on Tuesday 23rd June 2026 for judging to commence.

  3. Exhibitors must ensure that all entries have their Exhibit Card attached inside the wrapping before being handed to the Stewards.  A clear plastic OVEN BAG is recommended to protect your exhibit.

  4. All cakes to be un-iced, unless otherwise stated.

  5. Sponge cakes must be cooked in 8” (20 cm) round tins and must be double.

  6. Other cakes to be cooked in 8” (20 cm) round or square tins, single tier unless specified.

  7. Cakes are to be presented on a flat board covered in foil (thick cardboard or board), no paper plates, for presentation and ease of handling.

  8. Small cakes etc. to be presented on a plastic (non-bendable) plate (no paper plates)

  9. Packet or wrapping must be included with exhibit where packet, Brand Name or ingredient is stipulated.

  10. In any class having less than three (3) exhibits, only one prize will be awarded.  Whether this prize is first prize is the decision of the judge whose decision is final.

  11. As a health consideration, the Ayr PA & I Assoc. Inc. recommends that the exhibits should not be consumed after the Show.

  12. Exhibits are to be collected between 9.00am and 11.00am on Thursday 25th June 2026.  Unless prior arrangements are made with the Show Secretary, exhibits not collected by 11am on Thursday 25th June 2026 will become the property of the Association, to do with as it sees fit.

  13. No exhibit is to be removed except by a Steward.

  14. Prize monies are to be collected at the Show Office from Monday, 29th June to Friday 3rd July 2026 between the hours of 3.00 pm & 5.30 pm each day.  Unless prior arrangements have been made with the Show Secretary, prize monies not collected by 5.30 pm Friday 3rd July 2026, will become the property of the Show Association.

  15. Special Needs Person:  Special requirements of those with learning difficulties, emotional or behavioural problems, or physical disabilities.

  16. Prize Certificates must be presented when collecting awards.

  17. N.B. The Numbers beside each Category are Class Numbers.  Please use these Numbers on Entry Form.
